Ruben Seelow was born in Paris in 1970. At the age of 25, during a trip to India, he discovered the joy of photography. He spent his childhood in Paris and then moved to Toulouse.

He began to develop black and white photographies, built a darkroom at home, and with help from books, started to learn the technical process of making photographies.

"It's about artistic photography, the camera is a support and an excellent tool to express my creativity, since I've always tended to use black and white, not that I don't like to work in colours, but the darkroom offers tremendous possibilities. It also gives me the precious liberty to depend on no one else and to be able to follow and master the whole process..."

Ruben is a classic photographer: He never modifies his pictures, always using his Nikon camera with manual settings: The next step is to master digital photography.

In 2003, he moved to Norway with his wife. He actually lives in Stavanger.
